Role Description

The role is to manage new business applications for life/protection, pensions, savings and investment policies from receipt to policy issue. The successful candidate will have responsibility for delivering an efficient, accurate and professional service. The role involves working with both brokers and life companies. This is a fantastic opportunity for an administrator who is looking to progress their career within the Financial Services sector and gain exposure to various areas within the industry.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the new business function in the area of Life & Pensions

  • Working closely with Senior Administrators and Financial Advisors

  • Processing new business applications with various life companies such as Aviva, Royal London, Zurich and New Ireland

  • Tracking the progress of new business applications and collecting any additional requirements

  • Dealing with relevant life companies via e-mail and phone

  • Dealing with relevant brokers via e-mail and phone

  • Ability to work off your own initiative

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Ideally good knowledge of the life/protection and pensions market

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a high performing team

  • Good problem-solving skills, and eager to learn

  • Interest in progressing with relevant studies – QFA and/or related exams

  • Professional and client-oriented approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must have a very flexible approach to work and be confident working in a fast moving, exciting environment
